I invite you to explore with me the depths of our shared human experiences. I hope the stories I’ve written will stir your spirit and evoke your own echoes of formidable struggles, mystical yearnings, and carnal desires. I’d love hearing from you anytime.

ABOUT ROBERT STEVEN GOLDSTEIN

Robert Steven Goldstein retired from his job as a healthcare information executive at age fifty-six and has been writing novels ever since. His first novel, The Swami Deheftner, about problems that ensue when ancient magic and mysticism manifest in the twenty-first century, has developed a small cult following in India. His second novel, Enemy Queen, a sexual comedy of manners set in a North Carolina college town, was a finalist in the category of cross genre fiction for the International Book Awards. Robert’s third novel, Cat’s Whisker, which published in October, 2021, probes the perceived rift between science and spirituality; it was longlisted for the prestigious Chanticleer International 2021 SOMERSET Book Award for Literary and Contemporary Fiction. His fourth novel, Will’s Surreal Period, about the peripatetic machinations of a dysfunctional family, was released in June, 2022; it was longlisted for the prestigious Chanticleer International 2022 SOMERSET Book Award for Literary and Contemporary Fiction. Robert lives in San Francisco with Sandy, his wife of thirty-three years, and Cali, a fearless, lovable Akita/Cattle-Dog. Robert has practiced yoga, meditation, and vegetarianism for over fifty years.

Enemy Queen

Wicked humor, artful eroticism, scintillating dialogue, and a baffling murder investigation—Enemy Queen is an exhilarating romp set in a North Carolina college town.

Cat’s Whisker

Evocative, emotionally moving, and intellectually stimulating, Cat’s Whisker probes human spirituality in a manner both revelatory and uplifting. A fascinating human journey of the mind, the flesh, and the soul.

Will’s Surreal Period

A rollickingly dysfunctional family, an array of succulent foodstuffs, and a brain tumor that transforms a mediocre painter into a virtuoso—Will’s Surreal Period is at times laugh-out-loud hilarious and at times deeply moving.
